BK3 join:2001-04-10 Geneva, IL | Internet could collapse by 2015, says ITU Ya know, I just don't think so. With all the dark fiber available, with everybody and their brother placing caps on everything, I just don't think so.
What I think is that some one or group of someones are trying to find a way to tax and control the internet. The excuse will be to "fund regulation and expansion" of the 'net, but in reality will just be used to line some politicians' pockets and boost the bottom line of the big ISPs, and put control of the 'net in the hands of politicians.

SO the companies will "fix" the problem with.... Caps, Throttling, and by-the-byte billing and overages! Yay for 3rd world status! -- "Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." -- Benito Mussolini

we're doomed. | |

| Want better wireless service in America? Socialize it. I hate to be a naysayer, but in my opinion, I don't think this will happen. As long as carriers keep doing this, including merging (like AT&T/T-Mobile merger), there will be no leadership in this country. I hate to jump into conclusion, but that's the way I can see it. -- Current Soft Phone (temp): Ekiga (ordered Yealink T22P to switch from Ekiga) Phone System: Asterisk 1.8; Server: Ubuntu Server 10.04 with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard as guest | |

| Verizon... 143 markets... And at&t hasn't even launched their first lte market...
Since I still have my iphone 4 I went to the local walmart for a test...
Iphone 4 3g:

Droid Charge 4g:

Granted it's 3g versus 4g, but since getting the iphone 3g in 2008 at&ts network has done nothing. They at one point did an upgrade and since then speeds have dropped to lower when I first got the iphone. While verizon has grown. And at&t wonders why I'm not gonna be a customer soon... | |
