Men Cause $10,000 In Damage To Surveillance System

DALLAS -- A pair of vandals who hit a Dallas apartment building went straight for the cameras -- and everything they did was caught on tape.

Dallas police said the pair has struck twice in the past week at the Hearthwood Condominiums on Abrams Road in North Dallas.

The condo complex installed the cameras to cut down on illegal activity in the hallways. Apparently a couple of guys didn't like the cameras, so they destroyed them, NBC 5 reported. But, of course, wrecking the camera lens doesn't erase the tape.
