Hmm I hate to admit it, but that is likely the smoking gun.

When a service is actually worth something, it makes money and can pay it's responsibilities.

I can only wonder why Lauder bought it though.

"mobile" broadband is not a viable option..

to replace a landline based service. I stopped reading there, because this article("how the fcc sees broadband's 95% success rate as 100% failure) is written highly slanted in favor of the industry. With extremely low caps, and even more extreme overages, wireless will never be a replacement for a fixed line broadband solution. When I can get a 100mbps symmetrical connection with either no cap, or a reasonable cap, and it can sustain those speeds, for around the same price as a fixed line solution, then its a replacement. that will never happen.
