Re: newyork

How do they intend to ban it from other state with different ISPs or different laws?

I'm not in NY. I post anonymously from here, how do they intend to ban me? I'm using naked DSL, so would they have to chase every place I posted to? What about Rants and Raves on this site. A lot are speeches.

If somehow this ridiculous proposal ever gets passed and held up in court, I'll just remember to post on NY websites under the names of either Jim Conte or Thomas O'Mara, the two sponsors of the NY measures. Everyone should do that. You could be "Jim Conte 8238" replying to "Thomas O'Mara 3792" and "Jim Conte 2687."

Hmm... I could make use of different names like...

Jannifer Tiberan K'Alexandra
Kluya Zach Rosa
Tim O'tara Kimberly
Gray Peterson
...

That would make me be completely anonymous, right? There could be ways to easily outsmart the ban.

But then I don't care about posting anonymously, even if it does have its uses. I'd just be careful what I say over the Internet. That's no big deal to me.

Neo Con Republicans don't have to follow the Constitution---they answer to a higher authority (God and the almighty dollar).

Larger Screened Tablet-Phones

Count me in. I'd be glad to have a 5.5" 16x9 smartphone with pure Android experience. I could use that in conjunction with large font size compared to my Samsung Exhibit II 4G that I've rooted to put in CyanogenMod 9. And how about an 11" dumb tablet that the phone can be slipped into it, like an ASUS PadFone? Give me a couple of USB ports and a dock so that I could use a 50" screen, a mouse, and keyboard. It could be good for me to watch videos and movies, too. How about a keyboard dock, too?

Oh, wait... ASUS PadFone is already but with smaller screen sizes and no dock for connecting to the TV or computer monitor with mouse and keyboard functionality.

But I can dream, can I? A tablet-phone hybrid that can be converted to a tablet?

I must say that due to my hearing impairment, I rarely make phone calls unless I use binaural (Microsoft Office Word 2010 owns Firefox for spell checking) that connects via a 3.5mm jack into my smartphone. I'm also visually impaired.

Yahoo Browser

That system wouldn't work for me. I need to see all the results.
Most of the time what I'm looking for is on the second or 3rd page of the search. I have to read the URLs from each listing.

Say I was searching for a 17th century astronomer named Azracheel Bieber. I might only get one listing, and the rest for Justin whom I have no interest in.

The other problem is some of the hits that most mirror what you typed are from these other stupid web pages that aggregate stuff, but mostly want you to buy something or pass malware.

Netflix and Data Caps

Of course cable companies want to stop users from using Netflix... It cuts into PPV revenue.

Why not start shafting them with data overages.

Does that mean they're gonna stop hackerbots from spamming me with packets that count against my data usage?

"This toll-free data model is similar to the Amazon Kindle model--Amazon pays AT&T (NYSE:T) for the traffic generated by a customer who downloads a book over AT&T's network. Of course, downloading a book is a lot less network intensive (and less pricey) than a video, but the model works well."

Isnt this because the buyer of a kindle doesn't have to pay a fee for wireless service? Amazon pays att because a lifetime buy and download for the customer is included in the price of the kindle product. The customer doesn't have to contract out for a wireless service to be able to then use the product.

How is this comparable to my buying an internet service and then my isp charging companies for the content that is delivered to me over the service I have already paid for?
