RE: Verizon Wireless ranks No. 1 in customer service

Sprint last as usual.

The 2008 Wireless Customer Care Performance Study-Volume 2 is based on responses from more than 11,000 wireless customers who contacted their provider's customer care department within the past year. The study was fielded between February and June 2008.

Customer service is usually great at a NON-UNION company. I wish VZ wireless would fix the VZ FIOS billing issues. So much for "union" labor being "superior."

I wonder if this has anything to do with what you pay for in monthly service fees? Sprint has had some of the best wireless plans/prices for years. Verizon has some of the more expensive plans.. and I'm not talking about the monthly bill, I'm talking about per-minute break down. (ie: a $39.99 plan that comes with 250 minutes vs. Sprint/Nextel's free incoming plan with a 350 anytime minute for $39.99)

Sprint catered to the budget minded consumer and didn't charge enough for their service, in my opinion, and I think that reflects in their ability to actually operate their company effectively.

VZW ranks #1 for customer service

They need to transfer some of that attitude over to the landline division... I mean, it's the same company, or at least operates like it is...

Text Messaging Comes to Landlines

I love it when the press discovers a "new" technology that has been in use for quite some time.

Sprint (and the companies that use their network) have offered text to landline for a long time. And it's all automatic, send the text to a number and if the number isn't a cell, it goes as a computer read audio message. I've been using it for more than a year.

Re: Text Messaging Comes to Landlines

I'm glad someone else noticed this. I've used Sprint's text-to-landline service since at least 2005; the technology is far from new.

I have no idea what Sprint charges, I am a Virgin Mobile customer. VM treats it like any other text message as far as the charges go.

It is the same as a regular text message on Sprint also... I use it to mess with people occasionally..

Hackers hacked at infamous DefCon gathering

»news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080812/tc···J2lk24cA

ROFLMAO!

Three days of "hacking" ended up getting hacked the entire time WITHOUT all these "great" hackers's knowledge. They were "pwned" by a simple technique. IDIOTS!
