| hopefully... T-mobile will continue to offer an affordable cellular internet solution... i really love paying only $20/month for unlimited internet, its slow, but for email and other stuff its just fine... 100kbps would be about twice as fast as their current offering which is usually between 40kb~60kbps -- BellSouth sucks | |

You are wrong, I am able to visit .html pages with my phone, the only problem is the phone usually cannot support normal html pages due to their size, but I had written a few in the past so I could download some files to my previous phone, before I got my bluetooth phone. If you try using the mobileweb/t-zones for internet don't be surprised if you get some extra charges on your bill. -- My hourly rates: $25 per hour. $35 per hour if you want to watch. $45 per hour if you want to help. $75 per hour if you tried to fix it, and failed. You can download html pages on ur phone because ur using the v330's WAP browser witch will go through a proxy for HTML pages. If you try using a 3rd party program or your computer through your phone without a proxy you will get nothing. This is because T-mobile has blocked port 80 on the $6 T-zones.
Also, I've been using the $6 t-zones for tethering for 6 months not and have not gotten any extra charges. Its called unlimted for a reason!
BlitzenZeus, I suggest you go to »howardforums.com/forumdisplay.ph···rumid=52 before you tell anyone else that you will be charged for somehting they won't because I will bet you that at least 10 people on that forum will back up my claims.

| Re: hopefully... Only a few of the current phones actually support egrps, I can look into it further, but I would assume most, if not all of the brand new phones they are selling would be edge compatable. For example most of the major phones have been updated, or replaced with newer models lately. However my own question is the aircard they offer still only gprs, or epgrs as it is older..... | Why so hard to find phones? Why is it so difficult to find EDGE compatible phones with T-Mobile? I would think they would want MORE paying subscribers afer spending all the money to install EDGE, but a novice can look high and low and not figure it out on their site. Call their employees and they ask was EDGE means...
Good voice coverage in my area and I would like to add EDGE, but I cannot find out how. Of course, I am not sure I would actually buy any of the phones that TMobile sells since you can find a lot of people bitching about the lack of quality.

In reality they can not even produce the phones fast enough.
You must remember your not the only one looking for these phones. Kids growing out of their old phones are buying what ever looks good to them and most of the edge compatible phones are moto 330's which seem to be all the rage with the younger crowd.
Not to mention most of the prepaid phones have edge... which i just don't understand , but eh to each is own. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!"

| Probably the main reason you can't find phones yet is because they haven't officially offered it to the public. I think that's coming sometime in the next few months. They are still in the testing stage and some markets are still installing the necessary equipment for the edge system. | |

| Re: Why so hard to find phones? Where are the marketing weenies???
Seems to be a missed marketing opportunity...why wouldn't you sell phones in advance of EDGE rollout where you can say "Hey, if you need data in a phone, we'll have it in xx weeks/months" so buy this phone and you'll be set..." or "If you ever need data, these phones will handle it once we finish installing it..."
Considering how carefully scripted most carriers are about this, one would think they knew a LONG time ago that EDGE was coming...in fact, if I am not mistaken they promised it a LONG time ago...I thought it was like 2003-2004 on their web site.
