According to game publisher Valve Software, they've delivered approximately 10 million gigabytes of data since the first of the year over their broadband distribution client. They recently upped their total available bandwidth to 28,395Mbps, as they look toward publishing games from other developers. Gamers have spent 50 billion player minutes playing Valve multiplayer games, according to steam statistics.

Wow, using that much bandwidth, I'm suprised that they haven't gotten capped yet

9,765 TB / 1024 = 9.54 PB (Petabyte)

Or they could have just said 10 Petabytes...

Add the 'GB' after 10,000,000, and you'd be correct.

TFC Rules!

Been playing tfc since it came out. HL and HL2 are the best games I've ever played and online gaming is now and the future. Thanks Valve for making me get broadband where I would've stayed with dial-up for much longer.

That's a lot of presence...

Yeah I'm part of that total also. We're playing HL2.

Steam is fine but...

Why do you have to have it to play offline once you have verified yourself the first time?

Impressive from a technical standpoint...

Not so sure it should be something one is proud of, though I do want to thank valve for the 5 hours it took to activate hl2 on a dial up connection. Has there really been that much additional content value given to justify the massive amount of transfer?
