According to a new report by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Switzerland tops the globe in broadband penetration, with 39.9 subscribers per 100 inhabitants having a fixed broadband line. Globally, DSL still rules the roost accounting for 55.8% of all connections, though the technology continues to lose ground to cable (30%) and fiber to the home (13.7%). Meanwhile, South Korea tops the globe in wireless penetration, and is the first to top 100% with 100.6 subscriptions per 100 inhabitants. In wireless Mexico, Turkey and Hungary were the cellar dwellers in wireless penetration with 7.7 percent, 8.9 percent and 12.9 percent, respectively.
