| Re: Yippe! I guess I felt the same was as you, but a guy at work installed an RSS reader on my PC and it truthfully has been ok. It nice to look in one place at the articles that I would normally had visited 1/2 dozen seperate web sites for.
It seems I spend less time looking at the quick little summaries than I did when I scanned through the larger articles.

| Re: Yippe! I guess I know what you mean. I used to go to around 15 deal sites a day. That got pretty tiring, so I usually unded up going to my 3-4 favorite ones regularly.
Now that I found dealsites, I only need to go to one site. Check out the read time updates here:

| setting up an rss reader is pretty simple. there are countless programs out there where you just enter the url and it will do all the rest.
i think it's great, especially for on-the-go. me as a webmaster, i just recently started to allow my visitors the ability to filter what content they want.. different catgories, how much content they want, etc.. -- BBR Gaming Server Admin. gaming.broadbandreports.com

| Re: THiS JUST IN! I gotta say -- using an RSS reader is great to keep up on the news and cool tech stuff. It's worth it to check out -- SharpReader (www.sharpreader.net) is what I use (free), and it's a lot better than going to multiple websites to check the headlines. The headlines show up in the aggregator, and you can scan through them for the ones you want to read. Try it, you'll like it (and all of your friends are doing it.. | |

1 edit | RSS rawks! Here are two uses for RSS; both of which come in handy. I have a plug-in for Trillian that I've set up to read some RSS feeds from the forums here(BBR). I also use it on my clans website (»bbwolfcorps.com ). --

| RSS-XML for Linux/apache
Since I came across this I have been scouring the web for an easy way to have apache serve xml feeds that I receive.
I found Amphetadesk but not much more and seems like alot of work involved.
Anyone else doing this with apache have a recommendation?

| Heh I'm with the editors. Daily Rotation beats all the desktop readers and website news aggregators. You can be very lazy and very well informed. No login needed, no registration, very very easy configuration, and it just gathers all the tech news you'll ever want. You can spend hours reading what it offers on just one page. | |
