Road Runner Lite is a new product offering that will be used as a means of retaining current RR customers that may want to disconnect their RR service. RR Lite will be a much slower speed and will have fewer features available to the customer. The NHD may receive calls from customers inquiring about the service. RR Lite will be launched on March 1, 2004 in the following markets:
San Antonio 384 x 128 Kbps
Rochester 256 x 128 Kbps
Cincinnati 384 x 128 Kbps
Columbus 384 x 128 Kbps
RR Lite features:
· Personalization There are no personalization or customization opportunities available in the RR Lite (HTML) version of the service. There will not be a login feature where a customer can login to retrieve stored information.
· Weather and stocks will be available but not customizable.
· Horoscopes and Resources will not be available.
· Content modules will not be customizable content, mode of display and transitions cannot be customized as with the regular Road Runner service.
· The Computer Associates EZ Armor Security Suite will not be available for RR Lite customers when this trial begins, but will be made available to them at a later date.
· Benefits of Flash the RR Lite service is in HTML, unlike the core product which is built in Flash. Therefore, the RR Lite service will not be quite as graphically rich or dynamic.
· Slower download/upload speed - 384 x 128 Kbps or 256 x 128 Kbps depending on the division.
· 24/7 Technical support (phone, chat, e-mail) will still be available.
