HERNDON, Va. -- RCN Corp., a video, data and voice services provider, said Friday it has named Casimir S. Skrzypczak and Kurt M. Cellar to its board of directors, increasing the size of the board to eight seats.

Skrzypczak, 68, is a former senior vice president of customer advocacy for Cisco Systems. Previously, he was corporate vice president and group president of professional services at Telecordia Technologies.

Cellar, 39, has been a consultant to companies in the telecommunications, retail and insurance industries since January 2008, the company said
