| Canadian media is so useless. They probably thought thousands would show up..So next time they won't even bother reporting it.
Blogs are where the news is at. Now if only we could get some education in to the regular, ass kissing, virus infected users. So that our rights and freedoms can be restored.

| Don't get me wrong.... But how exactly does this fall under Net Neutrality? This is about Bell shaping the last mile network that these NSPs are using, correct? While this is a completely different problem that exhibits anti-competitive behavior on the part of Bell, I can't see how this falls under Net Neutrality. | |

| Awesome I was there during my lunch, it was great, met a lot of awesome people. There was way more people than I expected for a problem most people are too computer illiterate to realise they are affected. Although that kid's silly face seemed to light up when someone mentionned net neutrality affects facebook and youtube too.  It was really cool to literally *be* at a protest with the people who own and run the ISP I just joined. 
Media presence was awesome too, I saw a photograph from every media outlet in the region!

| I stop by on my lunch break with a couple of co-workers. The turnout was ok, however the signs were to "geeky". My coworkers needed a good explanation of what this was all about. Any of the general public would probably have been confused as to what was going on if they were to casually walk by. Lets hope the media does a better job getting the message out. | |

| Re: Haha For a country of 30m people? Yes it will, we generally don't have large protests, or turnouts in Canada(other people make them so). It doesn't necessarily take huge numbers of people to get things done, or make an impact on public policy. An example, getting several TV stations passed by the CRTC on to cable/satellite; it took all of 250 people knowing what they were doing. To get CTV NewsNet's licensing changed to allow different broadcast segments in the 30/60 min block segments took around 150.
You want to know what the real issue is? General Canadian apathy and not understanding the issues at hand. Now let's not forget Canada is a large place. For some of us Ottawa is a 4-6hr drive at the best of times. At the worst, it's a cross-country trip, we don't have population density; word of mouth and MP letter writing/direct action via the government body is the most effective means of change up here.

Apathy is a general consensus in Canadian politics and the protest arena; This is something most people outside of Canada don't get. Unless you understand that and your ideology, and goals are willing to accept and overcome that; you will fail. 300 people showing up for a protest on a first-time issue in Canada, again is a good turnout. | |

If the majority of job applicants are male, then the majority of hires are going to be male too. Sitting down in compsci classes at school makes it obvious that it's still a male-dominated field; the interest is apparently just not there for women, for whatever reason. | |
