MINNEAPOLIS, Nov 15, 2002 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Optical Solutions, the market leader in fiber-optic voice, video and data systems for the last mile, today announced it has been awarded a contract from Florida-based competitive service provider LiteStream Technologies. LiteStream is a joint partnership with R&R Enterprises and TECO Partners, a division of TECO Energy (NYSE: TE).

LiteStream has selected Optical Solutions' FiberPath 400 for its initial FTTH deployment in Palencia, which is a new development with over 2,000 homes planned. The Palencia deployment will serve subscribers with state-of-the-art voice, video, high-speed data and security services.
