Motorola Unveils 3G Femtocell, LTE & WiMax ProductsWorld Mobile Congress 2008 news begins

tags: business · wireless · hardware · worldMotorola has issued announcements that the company will be at Mobile World Congress 2008 unveiling a slew of new products. These products will highlight the companys forward motion in the areas of
3G femtocell technology,
LTE and integration of
WiMax capabilities. Their suite of products includes an advanced femtocell Ethernet Gateway which acts as the gateway for both a customers 3G cell phone use and their in-home high speed Internet. It also includes a new wireless broadband modem that meets all required WiMax capabilities. On the funner side of things, Motorola will be providing demonstrations of HD Video using LTE solutions and an IPTV set-top box and will also be showing how LTE-enabled VoIP calls work. All of these announcements reflect the
companys move away from their handset business and towards enhancing the strength of their broadband products.
