Motorola has issued announcements that the company will be at Mobile World Congress 2008 unveiling a slew of new products. These products will highlight the company’s forward motion in the areas of 3G femtocell technology, LTE and integration of WiMax capabilities. Their suite of products includes an advanced femtocell Ethernet Gateway which acts as the gateway for both a customer’s 3G cell phone use and their in-home high speed Internet. It also includes a new wireless broadband modem that meets all required WiMax capabilities. On the funner side of things, Motorola will be providing demonstrations of HD Video using LTE solutions and an IPTV set-top box and will also be showing how LTE-enabled VoIP calls work. All of these announcements reflect the company’s move away from their handset business and towards enhancing the strength of their broadband products.

Don't Stop

I hope they maintain a line of cell phones. I always demand Motorola cell phones when I need a new one. Good to see them focusing more on their classic art of building fantastic radios. It is now the age of microwave digital spread spectrum radio and rock and roll is still alive.

HELO MOTO

I don't care for the cell phones they look nice but they sound like crap. I have had so many different flip phones with different technologies and all of them are crap.

Love the looks of MOTO that's as far as it goes.

Nokia needs MOTO's look and Moto needs Nokia's sound and quality.

Nokia's phone book is awsome also Moto's is much to be desired.
