| | Verizon should be getting more flak Verizon should be getting more flak for how they are handling fios. They promised free fios for schools and libraries in my town in exchange for an agreement to serve their tv. they got the agreement and have NOT kept their word on the free fios.
Cablevision offers it as power to learn.
I am starting to think Verizon is in cahoots with the cable companies. here on long island Huge chunks of suffolk county do not have fios and verizon stated never will . The whole town of brookhaven does not have it.
They are also pretty much stopping any dsl maintanance also. This leaves cablevision as the sole internet provider for many areas. (which is not as bad as other cable companies but still).
So I agree with the huffington post article. I wish the politicians would stand up to verizon.
| | | | Re: Verizon should be getting more flak I wonder why now, someone like Huffington, brings this up. Thanks to Karl, we've known all along of telco-misappropriations. Heck, I thank Verizon for the wonderful marketing funds shuffle (Sorry Mr IRS but we have a loss this year and need to underwrite a few billion in marketing um er pensions)
Don't forget Fairpoint (Failpoint) and Verizon's wonderful gift of release to the upper NE states! (sarcasm)
Hey, any news on Failpoint? its been quiet... -- Splat
