| Sprint says the HTC Touch can get it too. I'm finally getting serious about replacing my landline and I'm researching the different plans and devices.
I'm split between the Mogul/Touch/Moto-Q on the SERO plan. -- Vista ~ Less functional every day!

| I had a Mogul and didn't like it. I'm a road warrior. I constantly make phone calls while on the road. I did not feel comfortable dialing and driving. I got a MotoQ and it's great.
They basically run the same os (my Q is WM5... I think the Q9 is WM6) Well Q is WM Smartphone and the others are WM PocketPC just go to a sprint store and try them out and see what you like best. -- 09:F9:11:02:9D:74:E3:5B:D8:41:56:C5:63:56:88:C0

| Re: Other Phones Every time I have gone to the sprint store in the past there were lines. The reps are clueless and are just interested in selling something. They could care less what phones are best for the customer, they just want a sale of whatever is currently the top commission %.
Thanks but I'd rather find out from people who are using the phones and service. -- Vista ~ Less functional every day!

| Wait one sec... Late last year, my employer provided Treo 700wx received a software upgrade when the EVDO Rev. A network in this area went live and, according to Sprint, was Rev. A capable after the update. To test this, we downloaded some large files from websites and were getting between 700 and 1200kbps. Unfortunately, due to the boss's pointless edict, I had to switch to the lovely hunk of junk called the 755p with PalmOS. | |

| Rock and roll SWEET! I've had my Mogul for quite a while now, and I was very disappointed when I found out it wouldn't support Rev A until an update with an expected arrival date of "sometime down the road" got released.
Now if only they could do something about the crappy WinMo 6 OS (as in, replace it with Linux)...

| Re: welcome to last year Sprint. That's exactly my thoughts. Sprint's EV-DO Rev 0 and Rev A are both widely available, across much of their network. HSDPA is mainly available in major cities only. I live about an hour west of Chicago and CDMA carriers are the only ones with high speed, all GSM carriers are stuck on EDGE. | |

| Report on How well it works I have a Mogul, and I updated mine with this ROM today.
To say the least, it's awesome. I've definitely noticed a latency decrease and a speed increase. Also, the GPS feature is very nice (it works well with Google Maps).
Another thing it does is make "x-button" a default program...though it's a little different (and better) this time around.
overall, an excellent, excellent update. -- "True Patriotism is more closely linked with dissent than it is to conformity and a blind desire for safety and security...I accept the definition of patriotism as that effort to resist abusive state power." -Ron Paul

| Loving the new rom All the features of the test 3.16 rom that leaked back in January except vastly improved. the radio is rock solid now, no more flipping between 1x and evdo like the test rom's radio. GPS does a cold fix now in about 30 seconds instead of 30 minutes like the old test rom...
I did a speedtest with my laptop using wmwifirouter and I got 1.5mb down, 450kbps up, with about 109ms latency. So about the same as the test rom.
So far I am VERY impressed.

| I just bricked my phone After carefully following the directions... the application stopped and said that I didn't have the correct phone (but I do) and now my phone is stuck at a Red, Green, Blue and white screen. There is some cryptic lettering on the screen. I've tried yanking the battery to reset it and the phone knows the USB is plugged in because it says "usb" at the bottom of the phone screen when it's plugged in... but windows doesn't recognize that it's plugged in. | |

| Problems Tethering Mogul with new Rev. A ROM Update 3.35.651 OK I am somewhat new to tethering, however I was running on the old ROM 2 ver before I upgraded last night and I was tethering over the USB cable and over Bluetooth with the greatest of ease. But when I upgraded to the new EVDO REV A. Update 3.35.651.2 it cripples my ability to tether over USB or Bluetooth. Is anyone else having this issue. It worked so great using the old ROM version... | |
