(WHAS11) - If you're an Insight Cable customer who's wondering what's going on, you may not be alone.
Insight says it's getting about 1,500 calls a day about its digital changeover for some of its premium channels.
Insight hasn't been alone; we've gotten some questions, too.
WHAS11's Chuck Olmstead sat down with insight and has more.
First, so there's no confusion, this has nothing to do with the massive nationwide switch from analog to digital in February
That covers TV networks, local stations, satellite companies and all cable companies.
This is just something Insight is doing. And just has to do with some premium channels, but lots of folks are confused anyway.
If you have Insight Cable you've may have been seeing the scroll on the screen for weeks, warning you will lose HBO, HBO2 or Showtime unless you get a digital converter box.
This affects Insight Cable customers and just affects those who currently subscribe to either HBO, HBO2 or Showtime and don't have a digital box.
If you have cable but never included HBO, HBO2 or Showtime in your package and don't intend to, then don't sweat it, nothing is changing, nothing is needed.
But if you do subscribe to those premium channels and want to keep seeing them, for every set in the house you'll need a box.
In those cases, the cost of those extra boxes will be about $5.95 a month.
