Law Passed Making Colleges Become Copyright Police
Higher Education Act of 2008 reauthorized by House and Senate

The controversial Higher Education Act of 2008 has been passed by both the Senate and the House for reauthorization. The law itself is related to the governing of universities and has been around since the 1960’s with reauthorization scheduled every five years. However it became highly controversial this time around because of changes requiring college campuses to actively deter illegal p2p sharing on campus. There has been a lot of concern about the financial repercussions that could occur for colleges refusing to police their students in this manner although a representative from the House Education and Labor Committee insists that colleges are only required to inform their students of campus policies and to promote the importance of copyright protection. It is believed that the president will sign the legislation within the next few weeks.

Pelosi's Politburo strikes again

Deal with healthcare? Nah.

Deal with the war? Nah.

Deal with ENERGY! Nah.

Deal with taxation and lost jobs? Nah.

Lick the nuts of the RIAA and MPAA before going on yet another vacation? ABSOLUTELY.

It is any wonder Congress' numbers are at record lows, even lower than the idiot in the White House?
