| Time Warner Time Warner Cable ignores one fact. It will still be the same crappy Timer Warner Cable service, no matter the manner of delivery. Until Time Warner changes their customer experience, they are a dying company. | |

With upload speeds no faster than 1.5 Mpbs, downstream no faster than 18 Mbps (for now), and my second TV failing to tune into a HDTV station if the livingroom TV has one on, and the DVR is recording another....
The 2 HD streams + 2 SD streams has got to be the weakest link in U-Verse. Although in some areas they can now do 3 HD streams and 3 SD streams, you can't have the 18 Mpbs at the same time, or so I am told.
Although I have my own pet peeves about Time Warner, U-Verse is way to limited, and pretty much has already hit the ceiling of that particular technology.
FIOS is the better competition, but Verizon only operates in about half the SoCal territory. -- "I reject your reality and substitute my own!"

| TWC So far the only company I know of that did a software "upgrade" and actually downloaded an inferior product into all their customers cable TV boxes. Mystro. Sound dropping out. bluring of images, constant freezing. The biggest insult is when they attempt to raise cable prices this year as they always do. I suspect the calls to Consumer Complaints will set a new record. Everyone I know is awaiting Verizon FIOS. Imagine having to unplug your cable box on a regular basis to reboot the system. That's what it's like now trying to watch television....2009 and I am rebooting my box like I had to on my Windows 95 PC. | |

| I've had Mystro on my HDDVR for 2 years now and don't have any issues like that at all, at least not constantly.
I probably have to reboot it once every 3 months or more. But definitely nothing to freak out about. I can't imagine Verizon has a totally bug free set top box. Do you think they do?

| Me Too... I knew it was a problem when everyone on my street is complaining about the same issue, but when you call Time Warner, They tell you that you are the only one complaining... "No problems here..must be your TV, Wiring, Etc" Right!!! Now the majority of my street is on DirectTV or Dish. Now no more problems. Wonder why ? | |

I'm in Goshen, NY and I'm currently on the Turbo plan which is 15/768 here. I could make some pretty legal use of that upload and due to the latest job I could probably afford shelling out some extra dough for it.

| Missing The Point Of course the point is being missed. TW can ramp the speeds up as fast as they want but what they want is caps. What good are speed increases if all it means is it hits the caps faster which means you get to pay more and more faster for exceeding the cap. I could care less about the speed.
As far as the bitching about Watertown thankfully no one knows about it or Henderson Harbor or Sacketts Harbor. The less up here the better. --
The way things are going for obama a second carter term might be his best case scenario.

| Missing The Point said by kingdome74 : What good are speed increases if all it means is it hits the caps faster which means you get to pay more and more faster for exceeding the cap. That doesn't make any sense. It doesn't matter how fast you hit the cap. You would get charged for going over the cap, whether you use it in one week or over a month period. You're not hitting the cap any faster then you would on a slower connection. 40GB cap is 40GB cap. Whether you download 40GB at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps makes no difference. It's the data size not speed. | |
