As a woman, a liberal, a Democrat, and a feminist- I have to chime in here.
If anyone wants to watch porn that consists of consenting adults of legal age doing whatever- it's fine by me. Go for it. Have fun and enjoy.
As for prostitution, I have always felt that prostitution should be legalized, and regulated.
It would be safer for the sex workers, and for the clients. It would save taxpayer dollars that would otherwise be spent prosecuting people for a victimless "crime".
In addition, this activity could bring in tax revenue.
I also think pot should be legal, but that's a topic for another time.
So there, that blows your theory all to hell about what we liberal feminists think...

Does that mean when someone gets bored with their wife, their kids are in danger? Who are these people. They must be pretty fucked up if they think that is perfectly logical.
On another note, I am surprised that only 80% of teen boys view porn on their computers. Are there that many rural kids who are still stuck stealing magazines? | |

Thing is, this sort of thing shows up on presidential platforms all the time. It's meaningless crap that has absolutely no chance of going anywhere.. It makes for some fun headlines and it warms up the faithful, but even the AFA and the Morality people don't have a remote expectation of it moving forward.
And let's not forget that the porn publishing and video industry is HUGE, probably larger than the commercial movie industry. There is big money to be lost if this sort of shenanigan goes forward.
So let them play their political charades. This is silly on the face of it. | |
