Lawmakers ready report on Huawei, ZTE spying claims With virtually all electronics in this country being made or at least having major components manufactured outside the US the possibility of sabotage or espionage has long been a concern, but sadly, with the US Government's ever increasing penchant for dismantling the privacy and other Constitutional rights of the American People who knows what's really going on. Maybe ZTE and Huawei have refused US Government demands to install back doors in their devices and this is retribution for that? The Vice President from Huawei stated the obvious, that installing any sort of harmful circuits would be corporate suicide, but sacrificing one company in order to attain loftier goals would not be out of the question. Both sides lie like rugs, so until someone can either point to a circuit and provide proof of malfeasance that can be independently reproduced OR someone can prove (again with reproducible results) that there are no such circuits, we'll just have to go on wondering about ALL our equipment.
Isn't it sad that those that raise their right hand and swear "to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America" are usually the ones most likely to trash it.
