Especially for subscribers that don't use it. I use TiVos. I don't use FiOS VOD. Besides their VOD quality is a step dwon from the broadcast content.. | |

kudos:7 | Re: patents The fact that the case wasn't heard in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas helps lend some credence that it wasn't just a patent troll. Activision has real patents for real technology for products that actually exist and are actively being used. Whether you agree or disagree with software patents and the like, I don't think this exactly a troll case. | |

New Orleans, LA | Patent reform has been necessary for years now and will only get worse as times goes on.
I mean, some patents that are approved are so absolutely ridiculous and broad that I can't imagine how a human being could look at the patents and laugh their asses off.
Patent reform needs to be made considerably more narrow in terms of details. | |

HD programs can now be found in categories such as Free, Premium Channels, Events and TV Shows on your main menu screen. For Flex View movies, almost all titles offer the SD and HD versions directly when ordering. We appreciate your continued use of FIOS TV service.

| Huh? Anyone who thinks a large company does not steal, lie, cheat or flex its corporate muscle to get what they want has been asleep for a long time. Telephone companies as a whole are notorious for lying to FCC and customers alike to get what they want. It is amazing that FCC has not caught on in the last 60 years.

It is amazing we just accept features removed we paid for.
Consumers now accept without question, the removal of features that they paid for by firmware changes because of patent issues between a company that manufactured the device and a patent troll. When products were first introduced whose firmware could be updated there were several lawsuits by customers whose devices features had been removed by manufactures mandated firmware changes.
