Federal-Mogul deal preserves 300 Michigan jobs

GREENVILLE -- Federal-Mogul Corp. and the United Auto Workers reached a deal that will save more than 300 jobs in Greenville, according to the city's mayor.

The pact, if approved by UAW local members, is the last piece of an incentive package created to keep the engine bearing plant open.

"It is good news," said Mayor Lloyd Walker who has been in contact with the Livonia-based company. "I am very hopeful that the union ratifies the contract."
