reform," but the FCC is
hoping to vote on all pending mergers on election day. This includes the Verizon Wireless acquisition of Alltel, and the fusion of Sprint XOHM and Clearwire to create a new national mobile WiMax operator. It's highly unlikely that either merger will be voted down.
