Free Software Magazine explores how the FBI is pushing legislation that would require all future routing equipment manufactured to include backdoors for law enforcement, that "require no warrant to activate." As we've been discussing for years, there's been a relentless push to make broadband networks covered under CALEA wiretap laws, and vendors have been largely compliant without changing the laws - see Cisco's Lawful Intercept Control technology or products by Metaswitch.
