| $349 ??? While I love the irony of distributing the NFL package over the cable HSI network.... I say $349 is way to high for this. Their regular season package is 299 plus 100 with all the perks... and that comes in HD 1080p.
$200 for a PC delivery is better (fairly) priced. | |

| No, $200 is still too high. As a matter of fact, they offer a "Supercast" option to Ticket subscribers for only $100 right now!!! This is just for live viewing--no recording allowed--and archived games are not offered. Only for Sunday games (Monday and Thursday games are left out). This seems fair to me.
Even better, NFL.com has archived games for only $50/season. This option does not allow recording and no live games. | |

| Based on PQ I have seen from sat tv, forget it... blocking issues, freezing, rain fade that seems to be associated with sat tv most of the time, it's not worth it to me. anyone who thinks that online will be any better, you have to be kidding. latency is not just due to the access speed, there are so many other issues that can affect performance including the machine & its wireless adapter as well. I used to watch youtube & in HQ mode (thats not even true HD) and there's still lag & stuttering at times.
while I like the possibility of watching online as well, when crystal clear fios offers it, then tell me about it. | |

| From what I heard & the few times I had a chance to see the PQ was actually in a few stores that said they had it; people kept trying to tell me, wow doesn't that look great. Not to me, maybe i'm just spoiled to the PQ of my FIOS but I saw blocking freezing (sometimes only in part of the picture) and not just one channel. For example, there were 4 shows going on 4 different tv's. 3 looked like that, one was not in HD, 2 of the 4 of them looked very soft. It was when I was at an electronics store to buy a TV, I just asked what their PQ source is, they advised me they get DirecTV.
Also, I fear that the approach with these issues will be to try to NR it as much as possible to make it look clean. NR (or Noise Reduction) is definately not a cure all to it. This seeming to be the only means I can think of to combat these issues results in a very dull soft picture that, to me, does not depict the crisp clarity HD should have.
I would rather pay more even if I didn't have the NFL games to get shows that are crisp & clear.
Now this test via broadband, I think, is an explosion of trouble waiting to happen.. forget the fact that a hacker can likely write some kind of program that can blindly video capture the shows. I cannot see HD excelling in clarity on a public open broadband platform, not even high speed. I can imagine lag, freezes and blocking issue that to most, would likely at best, not look much better than the PQ of DirecTV's picture.
Please cable & telco companies.. work out a deal to get NFL sunday ticket next year when DirecTV's stranglehold, from what I read here.. •»www.defefx.com/nfl-sunday-ticket-directv/, is finally up .
