| A couple of solutions I'm sure that others who saw this thought about the same thing I did. There are ways around this using proxies and and also you could setup a simple vpn solution to your home network and access that way. I'm sure there are other ways and porn people will find it. | |

Try again mr morals? back off my porn! if im flying 16 hours to tokyo and paying 22000$ (more than you make in a year im sure) for the flight i will watch as i please.
now, in coach where 10 people can see what you are doing yes it is a problem, but not in business and above.

Who would want to watch porn in public anyway? Isn't JUST watching porn and doing nothing else kind of defeat the purpose of it? I mean who wants to watch it just to watch it... If I saw the passenger next to me watching porn I would think he is some perverted tool. I guess that's because I usually fly coach.

They'll trazer you stop the plane and send you off to jail for being a terrorist. LOL. Once in jail they'll do a strip search along with some water boarding.

| Re: New Club I think the problem starts to come when you start defining what is an isn't appropriate. Let's say I'm on a flight, and I want to watch an episode of CSI or Bones or an R-rated movie on my laptop. And let's say there's some hyper-concerned parent sitting next to me who's afraid little Timmy might get a glimpse of a dismembered body or something of that nature. Will airlines start regulating things to that extreme too? I'd hope not, I like to think they'd have the common sense not to, but I'm not so sure. So I'd rather err on the side of caution and not set a precedent for placing restrictions on that sort of thing in the first place.
I really still can't imagine that this public porn viewing would be a huge problem, and I suspect in most instances these tings could be dealt with on a case by case basis. I find it interesting the flight attendants are complaining about it, because a) they shouldn't be standing there watching the laptop screen for a long period of time. A glimpse of it won't kill you. I'm sure we've all flipped past an objectionable channel on TV and lived to tell the tale, or accidentally clicked onto a website. The exposure would likely be no worse than that and b) this likely is already an issue to some degree because, as people have mentioned, a lot of the people doing this right now already have the content on their laptop, they aren't using a website to view it. Filtering the internet will not fix that. -- You're watching Sports Night on CSC so stick around...

| Re: Low-tech porn? said by russotto :So what do they do if passengers bring paper porn on board? Or an adult DVD? The problem is those individuals who don't understand what is reasonable public behavior. any public location i.e. the mall, planes, trains, buses etc. It would be reasonable for the crew to remove the device from you, restrain you if needed (we know what you were doing under the blanket ) and refer you to law enforcement at the next stop, void your ticket, and bar you from future flights. Why someone can't wait a few hours until the privacy of their hotel/home, I don't understand. | |

| Another good reaon why I'm not in the airline industry If a passenger were viewing porn (amateur, anal, DP, oral, fetish, MILF, facial, mature, latina, group, etc...) within the view or hearing range of a captive cabin & refused to cooperate with a request to do something else they would find themselves giving deep throat to their laptop. heck, I guess in that situation I wouldn't even need to work for the airline, I would do that as a passenger. For anyone that finds my porn descriptions offensive, just imagine having to unwillingly see & hear this type of material. I'm not against porn but I am against insensitivity & rudeness. | |

| I'm feeling argumentative Now I would certainly be far too embarrassed to try to watch porn on a flight...but...it begs the question "If you don't like it, don't look at my screen". In fact, why are you looking at my laptop?? Further, it's amazing it would be ok to watch a movie with murder, dismemberment, etc...but porn (read: naked people having sex) is inappropriate. | |
