| Argh Even worse is that incoming messages cost .02 cents a piece, even with a plan it is deducting from your allotted number of messages. Get enough of these and it starts to add up. Thank God Verizon has a "Block User" option so you can block the text messages from certain people. Verizon really needs to join some of the other carriers and make all incoming SMS messages free and just charge for the outgoing ones. -- Guild Wars | winterforge | |

Which carriers would that be? The only carrier I know of that offers free unlimited incoming text messages with every plan is AT&T.

That's just not true. I'm a T-Mobile customer, and I know for a fact that they don't have free incoming text messages.

I agree. T-Mobile customer here also and incoming text messages are NOT free. The following was taken from here »www.t-mobile.com/services/textme···view.asp
"All T-Mobile products support text messaging. Send and receive text messages for just 5 cents each. Or, get 300 messages for just $2.99 per month or 1,000 messages for only $6.99 per month. Additional messages (sent and received) cost just 5 cents each."
Anyway, I think Verizon should have sued Jacob Brown and his ring however much it cost to send each unsolicited text message. If and when Verizon gets that money back, they should then refund/credit it back to customers involved. It would not only make Verizon look good to its customers, but also to people that are thinking about getting a cell or thinking about switching carriers.
Even if 100 incoming text messages would refund you back $2. It is the gesture that counts

That's exactly why i haven't switched to post-paid yet. I'm cheaper off using pre-paid...

| My sprint service includes unlimited free sms and incoming calls. pretty good service also. Never had any dropped calls like these companies claim in commercials.
I have only gotten 2 sms spam messages since I have owned my phone and sprint quickly cleared up the problem. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!"

| Well... Virgin Mobile does, and it's freaking pre-paid. You only pay .10 cents for outgoing, all incoming are free and unlimited. If they can afford to do it, Verizon sure as hell can. Verizon isn't making their operating money from .02 cent incoming message charges. Verizon isn't giving an option of nights starting at 7:00pm either like most carriers. All of them except T-Mobile offer a nights plan starting at 7:00pm, usually you might pay a little more because a higher price plan is required but at least it's offered. But we're getting off topic... -- Guild Wars | winterforge | |
