Brooklyn L Station To Get Monitoring Screens
08:16AM Thursday Oct 23 2008 by lilhurricane
NEW YORK (AP) -- Transit officials are planning to install computer screens at a Brooklyn L line subway station that will show commuters where the next trains are on the line.

New York City Transit officials say the screens that will be installed at the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues station will display a graphic representation of each train. The data will be updated every 15 seconds.

One transit official says that if the technology works, more screens could be installed in other stations along the L line.
