I saw this on the local news. I'm not sure what to think about having a law/rule about it. But it is nice to look and see stars rather then city lights.

I've climbed a mountain near Bar Harbor, and at night the city lights really showed and hampered the natural beauty.

I like the ordinance. I existed (can't call it living) in Southern California for 53 weeks. The only stars seen at night are on the sidewalk along Hollywood Blvd. The lights and smog hide everything higher than 500 feet.
