Bon Jovi Concert Attendance Further Limited
09:51AM Thursday Jul 10 2008 by lilhurricane
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- While the city handed out 60,000 free tickets for the Bon Jovi concert on Saturday, only 50,000 people will be allowed on the Great Lawn.

City officials believe 15 percent of those with tickets won't show up for the concert.

If the crowd exceeds 50,000 people, the overflow crowd will be shuffled to nearby areas where they can hear the concert but won't be able to see the stage.

Police are expecting fans to start lining up for the concert as early as Thursday night. The number of people in line is expected to swell Friday night and into Saturday.

The concert area does not open until 2 p.m. on Saturday, which is six hours before the concert.
