More evidence that this administration really doesn't care about the rules it expects everyone else to follow.

| Re: Looks like the Mobile carriers will be seeking immunity next I do not understand, one iota, how anyone could defend the actions of this administration with its demonstrably and patently illegal eavesdropping. I further do not understand how the same people who can scream bloody murder for the heads of any criminal, no matter how petty, can turn on a dime and defend such a violation of law and The Constitution. Lauding these egregious erosions of our rights and freedoms, especially on the day that celebrates the beginning of those rights and freedoms, tattered as they are.
It must be nice to go through life in a fugue state of broken Manachaenism.

After all the immunity is only to protect them from civil lawsuits.... etc etc

| Now we now why the government mandated that all cell phones are to have GPS. It had nothing to do with being able to help us in the case of an emergency, and everything to do with being able to track us no matter where we went.
Makes me glad my 6 year-old cell phone doesn't have GPS.

| Re: Looks like the Mobile carriers will be seeking immunity next Well this isn't GPS tracking, from what I can tell. This is tracking you via triangulation.
Basically, since your phone is always hunting for towers to communicate with, your provider always knows (at least within a small area) where your phone is--- not even counting GPS. -- "Regulatory capitalism is when companies invest in lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians, instead of plant, people, and customer service." - former FCC Chairman William Kennard (A real FCC Chairman, unlike the current Corporate Spokesperson in the job!)
