But if a major telco or cable company actually has a product to try and compete with the FAVORED site of the month, then it isn't competition, but predation.

| Re: Another failed service You misunderstand--it isn't specifically that customers do not want said service, but rather that they do not want said service in slapshod terms. Any offering by Comcast (or, usually any other given ISP) is a horrible alternative to anything the content providers have, and will, offer.
So, yes. Luring customers into a cheap knock-off isn't anything they want or need, and the money is better spent on less ill-fated debacles.

| Comcast Speed To comment on those saying Comcast is wasting money on this and could put it to better use like getting more speed out to ya.
I don't know how long you have had Comcast but in my 5+ years with them, I have gotten 2 or 3 speed bumps at no additional cost. Wanting more is fine, but don't forget what they have done so far. It might not all be good, but the good outweighs the bad I'm sure. If not, I would hope you would search for a new ISP if the bad outweighed the good. I would. | |
