| guess enough is never enough ...so Comcast's Rhapsody just wasn't enough because it's not theirs??? ...be willing to bet this isn't nearly as good as Rhapsody for music
Even though I'm not a Comcast customer, I don't think I'd go for such a thing. For music, I can still stream Rhapsody thank you very much.

For music, I can still stream Rhapsody thank you very much. Rhapsody sucks for the older stuff, about 60% of the classics are remakes, not stuff you'd hear on the radio at the time they were popular.(non originals) - edit: what ever happened to that streaming audio(altho at 64kbps) that comcast subs had access to on musicchoice.com?

I wonder what they will get access to *Sings the wheels on the bus go round and round* Think of the possibilities if they actually control the speed at the head end and let you download full bore what ever is available from their service. Might actually be a worthwhile venture for them.
I some how see this tying into the MS ipod competitor. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!"

| Adelphia had something like this... And the download speeds were extremely fast for absolutely anything you wanted, the selection was quite good, and the price was okay.
The only downside (major) was the over-restrictive DRM and now that Adelphia is gone, there are a few songs I cannot find anywhere, and cannot convert to another format at this point.
So the service idea is good; but DRM slaughters consumer interest for this music distribution method in long-run.

Care to site anything that lends credence to your assertion that Comcasts intent is to block out others (thus ignoring all the pissed off Itunes users and the bad PR that would accompany being the first ISP retarded enough to do so) or are you just parroting nonsense someone else came up with? -- Early to rise, early to bed; Makes a man healthy but socially dead.

| Another example of a user expecting the cable companies to invest Billions of dollars in their network with no monetary reward.
Short of blocking a service, which none of the network service providers will do since the competition would steal a huge chunk of business, I cant understand why anyone has issues with preferential treatment of packets.
Does Google post results in a premium spot for paid advertisers? Why shouldn't the cable companies get the option of a premium service as well.
What's ironic is this is nothing more than an SLA which have been around UNCONTESTED for years.
