| Another Firefox spin-off... Taken from Chris Messina's "blog":
After doing a little investigating, it turns out Firefox 1.5 already supports pretty much what I'm looking for. And given that Flock is based on Firefox, that means we get to use it! How's that for serendipity? -- Making life hard for others since 1977. In memory of 2005...

It's called "herd".
It's exactly the same as firefox, but it looks cooler and it has a different name.
Oh, only my friends can download. Sorry. You lose. But, it's so cool. Tell everyone about it and have BBR post a story to boost the hype even more.

2 edits | Wow: That is an incredibly ugly site.
Edit: So apparently this browser is getting tons of blogger buzz because... it has good blogging features? Er, okay....
I for one always wanted browsers to be read-only utilities, if only for the safety that confers upon the users.
It seems the purpose of Flock is to turn the web into a Wiki. Er, okay... Perhaps I'll understand after I see it.

It seems to me that the Firefox programmers time would be better served by fixing the remaining holes in their browsers and produce some extensions that would are sorely needed if Mozilla is to truly compete on the market. 1 edit | Back to the future? An open source feature rich browser by the creators of Mozilla... hmmm...
It was called Mozilla Suite and for some totally unknown reason was ditched for Firefox, which is at best controversial, at worst it sux.
Now under codename SeaMonkey for many months, we have yet to see it catching up with RSS, Extension Manager, updated email and news client, better skins, etc.
I'm sorry but the normal user can only switch browsers so often. I made my switch from IE6 to Mozilla Suite three years ago and I have yet to see a compelling reason to switch again.

| Re: Back to the future? It isn't really a bug in my opinion, just a missing feature at best. I wouldn't use it nearly enough to justify its inclusion in the right-click menu. I could see it being made an option, however, that could be changed in the preferences. A printing extension that expanded printing functionality would be another good place for it. | |

1 edit | Careless I don't give a F$@K about flock. They are simply changed the name of firefox. I think you need to do more then that to call yourself a developer. They has to make some changes. Or it is simple just theft of a program some other people designed.
Have you also notice they miss spelled send on flocks website they typed seed.
