We are talking about approximately 5,000,000 plus HSI customers...That's a lot of potential calls..
In your example, was OOL purchased by the said cable company receiving the call? ..If not, of course I would tell the customer to get bent too...
See...in my example you could possibly hear the term discrimination come in to play...People claim discrimination all the time with regard to HSI..Look at Verison and their FIOS program.
Now from a profit stand-point...Wouldn't it make since to have all of your customers on somewhat the same plan? Isn't it RR/Comcast responsibility to maximize the return on investment from purchasing Adelphia? | |

My Adelphia digital keeps freezing and blocking and the tech says its a quam problem but that was back in march - still not fixed. I don't know why no one ever gets back to me or would just fix the problem on Grand Island (Stahley Rd please) Maybe the time warner or comcast people have better experienced employees for these type problems! Oh yes, channels from Canada - have always had electrical interference - i guess this cannot be fixed by them. Fox has slight double images but WKBW is worst. MSG is pretty loud, but the commercials on History are extremely loud. I guess I better call for service again! Or go to the dish?????????????? | |

The commercials BLARE at twice the volume- it pisses me off! Canadian channels are so bad- interference all over.. The cable box is sooo slow! takes 2 seconds to change channels. In general, Adelphia service and support, and the product, is SUB PAR.. to put it mildly. Not even worth complaining anymore, after 5 years nothing has changed, mostly gotten worse, so why waste time trying to fix it?

| Re: Aliitle late? The Buffalo area managers and technical staff really need to "step up to the plate" and realize this is the year 2005! If your channels are not clear, your audio is too loud, your pricing is to high, customers will find alternative entertainment that offers better value and "bang for the buck". The Buffalo area has always had its problems especially with rates, poor video and audio quality, and long duration outages. This does however illustrate the performance or lack of, especially with the vice president of operations, general managers and technical managers as a whole. Yes, Adelphia Buffalo is losing subscribers continuously and has minimum retention. Poor performance by sales staff, poor quality product, poor management, - all of the above?? I think bringing in new faces from Time Warners will alleviate some and most of these problems. Sadly, I agree that all existing Adelphia Managers need to be replaced for the good of the company. Buffalo and surrounding offices could be shut down and consolidated with existing Time Warner operation centers. This restructuring effort will improve overall operations, quality of service and improve customer satisfaction. Let's hope for the best. PS Adelphia - please fix the volume levels between channels and commercials. I'm sure Time Warner could provide some help if you need it. Don't be afraid to ask for help, it is much better than having problems are left unresolved! Thanks - Gilbert B. in Williamsville. | |

A problem my two neighbors in Kenmore and my mother and father in Cheektowaga are also experiencing! Time to FIRE the entire Adelphia staff, especially the lame MANAGERS. Call centers should be staffed accordingly so you don't have to call FOUR or FIVE times to be put on hold 45 minutes each time! Maybe the two new Adelphia whiz kids should try calling the number on your bill for service and see how long it takes for them to get through! | OH Boy You guys are like kidding me after the acquisition of adelphia. Time Warner Cable or Comcast is not going to lower any ones speed. Whether They raise the price for that service is another story.
Usually what happens is that when both acquire a franchise they don't make changes at all. They integrate into the billing system. They may change everyone's e-mail address or convert them to RR. Its very doubtful that an adelphia users buying the extreme service would see bandwidth decreases.

As to bandwidth issues on my node, I doubt it since theres only 1 other person on it . And as to Comcast(who is taking over our system) lowering the speeds once they takeover, i would say it is 50/50. The reason they would is because, their networks can't handle that speed. But since they bought the system that can handle the speeds, I don't think they would need to downgrade. | |

| Adelphia NON-Service in WNY area. When going through your channels in the WNY Buffalo area, are you wondering why your channels look so poor even though you are paying top dollar? Analog channels that are grainy or have lines, some with slight trailing ghost especially noticeable during dark scenes, channels from Canada with electrical interference (CFTO and CBLT), public access channels 20, 21, 22 that are too loud or to quiet, or that have hum bars or are that are just plain unwatchable, adelphia local commercials on national networks that are extremely loud and have static in the background, digital channels that have been over compressed per qam (too many video channels per qam)that have busy backgrounds especially during dark or black seens (time to call HBO Engineering direct in NY to evaluate how Adelphia packages thier qams and have them investigate how many channels are present per qam), what could it be? Why does HBO look like shit, Is it your TV, slow unresponsive digital box, DVR that doesn't work, VOD that doesn't work, Why does EWTN channel 10 have satellite noise on it all the time? Maybe it's time to ask for credit on your bill for these inferior transmitted channels until Adelphia gets it fixed! Present Adelphia Management does not care as long as you pay your bill. Now is the time to call, question and complain about any and all inferior service and request credit! Remain patient when they put you on hold for 45 minutes, but don't pay for inferior quality of service! Channels "burp", quality goes down, guess what so does your bill if you call and request credit! DO NOT PAY FOR SERVICES THAT DO NOT WORK, PERIOD!!!!! Do not be afraid to go above Adelphia's head, call HBO direct in NY and explain to them how your digital looks terrible on your television. Nice guys finish last!!!
