Microsoft signs big UK deal
As we recently reported, there's serious questions surfacing in Europe over the quality and cost of Microsoft's IPTV platform; software that will be at the heart of BellSouth, SBC, and Verizon television efforts. British Telecom apparently isn't fazed by the bad press, and has signed a deal with Microsoft to help deploy IPTV, which should see the light of day sometime in 2006.

Re: Microsoft on my TV?

So is it up to the provider to provide the patches and updates to the software?
Are we soon going to need a firewall and AV on our tvs so that if we tune into a virus ridded station it wont self destruct. LOL!

"We're sorry but HBO has performed an illegal operation and must be closed. Please try again later."

But really... there needs to be more providers working on IPTV solutions besides MS.

Yep, my company already has a working solution for both IP and traditional cable-based interactive TV on a variety of settops.

So when does this silly "Blue screen" mess finally end? It's always the same lame mess that's always tossed around by the same Microsoft haters in every forum. I think the AOL bashers are much more original with their insults and usually have an entire list they like to use, where as the Microsoft bashers use the same line everytime (lacking all originality. Why don't you share with us the last time you saw the "Blue Screen"? I think that if you are still running Windows 95 you deserve to see it. Next time you see that nitorious screen why don't you shoot me an email when you get back up and running.

See it in XP now and again actually. Quit whining, you sound worse than an 8 year old schoolgirl.
