Orrin Hatch: Expert on Copyright?
Will head panel tasked with drafting new laws
Senator and Musician Orrin Hatch, who was responsible for crafting the highly controversial anti-p2p "Induce Act", has been assigned the top spot (Washington Post) on a Senate panel tasked with crafting new copyright legislation. "We lose billions each year (to piracy)" says panel creator Arlen Specter, who adds "We have a national treasure named Orrin Hatch who is happy to take over the subcommittee, and I was happy to establish it."

Let me get this straight

Orrin Hatch, a music industry shill who thinks p2p apps should be outlawed, to draft copyright law?

Death Squad buddy and criminal John Negropante as U.S. ambassador to Iraq?

Alberto Gonzalez, a man who thinks the Geneva conventions are garbage, as attorney-general?

Dog of war and botched Iraq planner Paul Wolfowitz as head of the world bank (with no financial experience)?

A man who hates the UN and perhaps its biggest critic, John Bolton, as ambassador to the United Nations?

Who is writing this botched screen-play?
