Catchy titleLike I said about the other news story, roxio makes poor CD/DVD burning software (full of glitches and too bloated).
I hope that the music selling business gets to be something that people really use though. It seems that there have been conflicts lately about what formats will and wont work on certain personal music players.

While Ive been using Nero for a while now, I still liked the old EZCD creator. I had it before Roxio took it over and it was decent.
I think that dropping the cd burning software line is a dumb move on thier part. They have good market share, they just need to fix thier problems.

Actually, Roxio didn't take it over. Adaptec made Easy CD Creator up until Version 4 or something, and then split into Adaptec and Roxio.

Nah, it's the usual market trajectory. Start with some software that's basic and decent. Attempt to make money by forcing upgrades to version N+1, N+2, and so you add misfeature after misfeature until it's a huge, bloated mess. (Then sell the business to someone else).

LOLWell it looks like all the 2nd class CD/DVD burning programs run downhill until they hit Sonic. I don't think Roxio ever got over the time their EZ coaster maker hosed all those systems when Win XP first came out. I mean how long was the BETA period? 13 million from a Sonic which already has a decent CD/DVD burning program makes little sense as well.
Well I wish Roxio good luck but they are dealing with some big hitters with some very deep pockets such as Real Networks who gave away downloads at below their cost. Competition is a good thing. I wonder how many will survive?

Same, it seems that everybody wants a part of the growing online music legal download business.

I think until Satan releases Napster from his power (which will probably be never). The only good Napster was the original free one. These "corporate" Napsters are just wolves in sheeps' clothing.

Re: again?I happen to like Roxio. I beta tested for versions 6 & 7 .. It's sad to know that maybe I won't be testing version 8.
