| The site reads like it was written by a child. In another thread this site came up...this is my favorite line from the site.
said by Juice: JUICE is a software download which utilises a unique 23 patent approved compression technology that increases your existing Internet connection speed to way past faster than broadband.
State-of-the-art data compression, byte stream and ultimate data burst technology now guarantees every Internet user an unbelievable lightening connection speed of 2MB.

| im sorry but how exactly does this add up to a scam? I am just not seeing how anyone has proved anything against this juice thing. They claim to have a new technology and while I dont see anything proving it's existance yet (becuase i have only been doing research for an hour now at 5am and I am tired) I do not see anything that proves that they dont have it. Am I missing something huge? Maybe becuase I am tired I just cant catch it. But I keep reading the alert and I dont see anything specific as to what or why or how it is what you are all claiming it to be. I do agree that the way some of it is written is a bit stupid. Well, I do agree that this looks like a scam, but revolutionary compression techniques would allow for greater bandwidth!
ADSL uses "dial-up" to achieve broadband, remember?
But all the other promises they make are ridiculous...

| Re: Broadband on dialup IS possible, it's called ADSL! Sorry but ADSL doesn't actually use "Dial up" it uses the same wiring, but it operates at a different frequency to the standard phone network, and is a Digital signal as the name implies. A "Dial up" connection uses the standard telephone network sending Analogue signals using a modem (MOdulator DEModulator) to convert the digital data to an analogue signal and convert it back to digital data at the other end. Telephone calls are Analogue signals. This Juice Boost is a total scam, there are no two ways about it. | |

| Broadband is ADSL. Broadband is the marketing term used because it was realised that most people could not cope with asymmetric digital subscriber line. This scam just proves they were right. As Barnum said "There's one born every minute." I guess he underestimated the numbers.
There are other variations of broadband sdsl, vdsl ad infinitum but they are all variations on the technology.
A thought occurs. If this had been launched to go live on 1st April everyone would have smelled it immediately. Therefore move it 6 months and you have the world's biggest gotcha! Let's hope it is no more malicious than this. However it has still been a very successful human generated virus with all the emails it has created.
What do you need? A PC, webspace and some technical knowhow to create a site which most 10 year olds and up have these days.
Could be the biggest joke yet. At least you now know who your stupidist friends are and who to trust for advice.

um no, Broadband was a term coined to cover protocols and such that could handle and send large amounts of data, Satellite, ISDN and Cable are classed as broadband. So ADSL is broadband, but not the other way around;

| Re: The site reads "I am just not seeing how anyone has proved anything against this juice thing."
I think it is the other way around. Where have you seen this mystical piece of software working? Nowhere yet. Never will.
Juice has not proved it can work.
I can claim to be able to make sure you never receive another spam email, that does not make it true that I can in fact do so.
One way of ensuring you never receive SPAM under the SPAM acts, is to sign you up to a service that makes you agree in fine print, to allow all kinds of riff-raff to send you email as a "associate" of the service, and not be able to cry SPAM anymore.
You have been warned by people who are experienced in these matters, take notice of the warnings.

ADSL requires dedicated hardware at the CO and operates at a different frequency than POTS (dial-up). Cable is not related to dial-up in anyway, so why does the fact that it exists make JB legit?

I am now averaging 500Mbps and in many cases the web page was already fully loaded while I was still typing the URL.

| Using my compression scheme I bet they stole my idea for Q Compression (TM) to achieve those speeds. I came up with a compression algorithm that compresses any file of any size down to the letter Q. It works in constant time and is literrally a 100% compression. I'm still working on the decompression part. | |

| Pyramid scheme I just love this part (from the scammer's post in the Broadband Tweaks forum):
quote: Faster than broadband and available worldwide without cost (yes completly FREE). Give it away and get $48 USD every time!
So not only don't I have to pay for it, but I'll get $48 for each friend I scam convince to sign up? Where are they getting the cash to pay me from since I'm guessing my friend's would be getting the service for free as well.
The sad thing is that some people will fall for this and not wonder just why the phone companies aren't providing 2Mbps over a normal phone line. If it was technically possible, you can bet that the phone companies would be raking in the cash from this.
I just sent in an abuse report to EBay (and referred them here for more information). Let's see how long until his auction is taken down. -- -Jason Levine http://www.jasons-toolbox.com/ http://www.PCQandA.com/ http://www.urateit.com/
