Perhaps we should start outsourcing our congressmen too. Then, I think they will start to take notice of the job loss in America and stop pandering to the outrageously wealthy on this whole copyright BS that, in it's inception, was never meant to last beyond even the life of the artist! Note: Artistic Copyright was never intended to make the rich filthy rich but to protect the creativity of the material! And Cyber Technology's inception was to free mankind from the boundaries of Capitalism. It should, therefore, endorse free-thinking and impose creative changes to Capitalism and the way the easily spooked Record Dictators should market, period. Impeding on P2P is a huge mistake! The labels view it as a breach of copyright and not as a marketing goldmine! STUPID! (Some Terribly Uneducated Imbecile's Detriment)

Unfortunetly they would not have the same level of forgiveness against us.
Its typical of 99% people in this world. They are the first to throw stones when they themselves had either did the same thing or have other things hiding in their own closet.
I'm really getting sick of the "Big Brother" attitude our goverment is getting anymore. It won't be long before we have video cameras in every home monitoring everything we do.

| Um, okay... "are running a conspiracy in which they lure children and young people with free music, movies and pornography." ----------------------------------------------------------
And the purpose of this conspiracy is what exactly? What are its goals? These evil p2p'ers are luring kids with free music so they can...give them free music? Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy at best.
And I'm sure Hatch and his cronies are only doing this for ethical reasons; the money given to them has nothing to do with it. I also believe that ALL the money raised by RIAA is going into a widow and orphans fund...but I'm clearly delusional again.

lol! Kinda like giving a kid candy - then leaving them to, ya know, enjoy it. What's the point? Well ... I'm glad you asked. Once those big, bad, highly organized p2p'ers lull those innocent, helpless kids into a false sense of candy-security, well, just watch out then, I tell ya! It's an axis of evil just waiting to happen. Why, I heard that every p2p'er either already has or is actively pursuing weapons of mass storage. I know, scary but true!

But they are trying to lure them somewhere, somehow. It's not that these people just want free stuff or whatever. It's a conspiracy. We're luring children....somewhere. It's getting there.
With the way quotas and "incentive" programs work, certain people won't be considered for certain jobs and promotions. And as for book burnings, well, take a look at what they are doing to Clarke for speaking out in HIS book. They might not be burning the books, but they are sure roasting the author! -- "Regulatory capitalism is when companies invest in lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians, instead of plant, people, and customer service." - former FCC Chairman William Kennard (A real FCC Chairman, unlike the current Corporate Spokesperson in the job!)

| More chunks of meat to feed the dogs. Defining marriage as between a man and a woman. Meat tossed to the hard right, to show that they hadn't been over looked.
The last round of tax cuts and over time pay change. Meat tossed to the employers, and to those earning an hourly wage.
FCC witch hunt. Another hunk of meat tossed to the conservatives.
This Bill. Hunk of meat tossed to the entertainment industry to satisfy them. Funny how this is the first time [or so I noticed] that porn is grouped with music, movies, and software. You'd think the government would want porn to be pirated, due to the supposed loss of income that results from piracey. That income loss just might deter porn producers from producing new stuff.

| Here we go again And there are people who will hear, listen but not understand. All people will hear the words "Piracy", "Terrorist" and "Child Pornography" and they will say 'that must be stopped, at any cost' I fail to see, how anyone who shares material [copyrighted or not] can be considered a terrorist. Some may say by sharing files they are destabilizing the economy, and that is a terrorist act. The only thing they are destabilizing is the business model of the RIAA & MPAA. Mostly the RIAA, whose business model is still in the 1970's - over 30 years out of date! File sharing isn't destabilizing it, time is!! OK, maybe I can go with "Piracy", but not the way they portray it. And I will definitely be against "Child Pornography", but how is sharing music files "Child Pornography"?!?!
The music industry doesn't want to change or be pressured into changing their outdated ways, that's why they are giving so much money to politicians to propose these bills. They call it 'contributions'. I think a closer word is 'bribes'.

| a law for everyone I know of a law that would make thing so easy for everyone. Just force people to buy at least 1 cd a month. If the record companies lose money than the year proceeding it then the people would be required to buy an extra cd or 2 so the record companies profits would be equal to or more than the previous year. If the person can't afford to buy a cd then they can apply for a government program to help them pay for it.
Though this may sound far fetched, the way things are going it may happen. The politicians pockets are deep and getting deeper by the minute. All you need to do is donate a few thousand dollars and you'll have the politician on a leash and will listen to your every command.
As for P2P promoting pornography, the RIAA is biggest promoters of pornography and hate. Music can promote porn and hate just as much as a picture or book can. The only reason why the RIAA thinks it's ok if they do it cause they are making money from it. People will say that the RIAA wouldn't do that, promote porn and hate to our kids. I say money does change everything.

Not enough Utahans to do that? how about a few thousands taking up temporary residence in that state, registering for voting and then go en mass to vote him out and after that, move back to wherever you came from? :):)
Seriously, now. This is the year when we must take control of our democracy away from corporate bandits. Check your representatives in Congress to see how much money they get from corporations and get out and vote them out of office.
This is the year when we need to clean up the United States Congress by putting people who will represent us and not the interest and profits of big corporations. So we have an opportunity in November and I am going to do my part. How about you??
