EFF: meet the new boss, same as the old boss...

According to the EFF, President Obama is mirroring the positions of the Bush administration when it comes to warrantless wiretapping and surveillance, insisting that the NSA's domestic surveillance program is not reviewable by the courts. Given Obama's support of giving the baby bells immunity from prosecution for handing public data over to the NSA without a warrant, his decision to continue Bush policies and dismiss EFF cases on this front is not surprising. As most privacy advocates will tell you, once Uncle Sam has managed to grab new authority in the field of surveillance, it's very unlikely they'll ever give it up.
