Furthermore, we do NOT use PPPoE, which reduces the maximum size data unit (MTU) you can send or receive at one time. Our MTU is a full 1500 Bytes and it's one reason our service yields faster speeds. Also, PPPoE requires an additional layer in the packet sent that has to be translated. This also reduces speeds. PPPoE is used by almost all DSL providers, including ATT/Yahoo, and it allows a large oversubscription of service. Not us!
