[ TV] We don't got no stinking 100 HD channels!

info: A chat representative will be with you in about 0 minute(s). Thank you for waiting.

info: Chat representative Danielle has joined the session and is ready to help. To start, please provide your name and home phone number.

Danielle: Hello, thank you for visiting bell.ca. How may I help you today?

You: Hi Danielle

Danielle: Hi

You: Is there a list of the 100 HD channels anywhere?

Danielle: I am sorry we don't offer 100 HD channels.

You: Hmm
You: www.bell.ca/100hd

Danielle: What are the services do you have with Bell?

You: I don't have any services with Bell

Danielle: We offer only 100 digital channels.

You: That's not what your company is advertising
You: Bell TV is the first and only provider across the country to offer 100 HD channels. That's 30% more than cable.

Danielle: Please ignore that it is a glitch in the website.

You: Okay, so what about all the advertising on the radio and TV about 100 HD channels? Is that a glitch?

Danielle: You can get only 100 digital channels + 14 free HD channels with the basic package.

Danielle: Is there anything else I can do for you today?

You: Well, okay, but I'm not specifically asking about just the basic package. I mean in total. Bell claims to have 100 HD channels, and I want a list.

Danielle: Do you want to rent or own the receiver?

You: For the sake of argument, let's say own.

Danielle: Do you want to own standard or HD receiver?

You: Since I'm asking about HD, let's say HD.

Danielle: It is for $199.
Danielle: You will get a promotional offer of $100.
Danielle: The promotional offer will be credited to your account.

You: And with that offer will I get a list of the 100 HD channels?

Danielle: I am sorry we don't offer 100 HD channels.

You: Danielle, I strongly feel that in order to do your customers justice, you should do some research. I am sure there is someone there who could tell you what the channels that Bell is advertising everywhere are.

Danielle: I would like to ensure that you get the appropriate attention you deserve. I would like to provide you with the right contact information of the department that will be in a better position to assist you and offer you options to resolve this
info: Please wait. We are transferring you to the specialist best suited to help you.

info: Chat representative Taylan has joined the session and is ready to help. To start, please provide your name and home phone number.

You: Hello Taylan

Taylan: Hello, thank you for visiting Bell TV's Chat service! I have read your question and I will be pleased to help you.

Taylan: please click here

You: Okay, done
You: I don't see a list of your 100 HD channels there.

Taylan: you have to select the 800 series

You: Okay, there I see 27 HD channels.

Taylan: 800 to 899 is 27?

You: Certainly it's not, you'd expect it to be 100. But it shows me 800, 806, 814, 825, 829, etc., so it's not like all the channels are sequentially numbered.

You: Taylan, are you telling me that with all the effort Bell is putting into advertising their 100 HD channel lineup, that there's no quick and easy list somewhere that I can look at?

Taylan: Please click here

You: Okay, I'll buy that, that looks closer to 100.

You: Hopefully you can provide Danielle with that link as well.

Taylan: ok
Taylan: It's been a pleasure helping you out today! Thank you for choosing Bell and for using bell.ca for your self-serve solutions. Have a great day!

You: It was indeed a pleasure for me as well. Have a great afternoon.

Taylan: :-0

[Internet] Any thing faster than 5meg comming my way?

Hi

I wondering if bell will be upgrading the lines in our area. I live in oshawa by Ritson Rd. N. and ColdStream.

Right now I'm on a 5meg Internet Ultra with unlimited downloads (the old plan bell wants me off of)

I've checked on line and the only thing available to me is 6meg with the 25gig cap. Which is crazy for me to switch too as I bearly get 4meg to my house as it is and my average download is about 30gig at the highend..

House and area is brand new subdivision.

So I wanting to know if bell will be putting out Max 10 or faster to our area. If not I'm seriously considering going to Rogers as I can get 10meg or 15meg with 95gig to 125gig download cap, for not much more that I'm paying bell for my 4meg service.

Thanks for your time.

I just got put from unlimited to 60GB per month.

I'm on the Performance package. Never even got a notice. Never agreed to anything. Just noticed this when I visited my My Bell page for the first time in a couple of months and had a bad feeling. What number do I call to complain and have this rectified to the way it's been for the last few years (unlimited)? I was on a grandfathered unlimited plan from the High-Speed days.

The name on that page had changed to Performance a few months ago but the usage was still at unlimited until now.

Bell speedstream 6520 router, how to remoly acces router????

Hey there,

I am working on a clients router and he has bell and he has a Speedstream 6520 router. I have tried for about 2 hours to figure out how to remotly access the router. Usually on every other router i use i can press the "remote management" and assign port 8181, then i link there router to a dyndns host and boom i'm done.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it. I need to access it through the router remote access and not a pc software because there are no pc's on site..

Anyone with any information i'd greatly appreciate it.

Want to switch email id between two Bell accounts

I have two Bell Internet accounts right now, Max12 and Max16.

I'd like to get rid of the Max12 account soon and maybe that phone line, and just keep the Max16 account on the line it is on.

My original sympatico.ca and bell.net email ids are on the Max12 account but it appears that when I cancel it I will lose them.

I called Bell and they said there's no way to move the email over to the Max16's B1 account.

If I lose my email will it go back into a pool to re-use, and if so, when?

Or does anybody have an idea how to accomplish what I want to do?

Can't they swap the B1 account information between the Max12 and Max16 services?

[Internet] sympatico users can't see my website

I can't access a website I manage (eddiebullen.com) and it's subdomains. I just get a network timeout and no one else on bell sympatico can see it either. But, my stats show that other networks are viewing it no problem, such as rogers.
I cannot update the site (since I can't get there) nor can I receive emails to my website email addresses from @sympatico.ca users. I have contacted sympatico service three times since Nov. 17 and no help at all.
Can anyone help me?

[Internet] grandfathered plan or switch

new to the forums, but have known and used the site for years.

I've had bell highspeed since it first came out, (I got in in 1996 i think) I've seen the speed go from 1m, 3m, 5m...

But lately I've noticed slower speeds, around 1500 -2200Kb/s down and 200Kb/s up.

So long story short, I wanna know your thoughts on upgrading to the 10, 12 or 16 lines from bell, or should I stay with the grandfathered plan and see if my profile can be upgraded/fixed/ w/e.
