Disconnections

I've had some speed issues over the passed few weeks, but never any disconnections. I'd take a close look at the Linksys router. When I used one I had frequent "lock ups". I now use a Netgear RT314 and haven't touched it in the 3 months I've had it.

Looking for new service!

I finally got my DSL Gold Package (768/768)!!! in July 2000, I signed the contract 6/21/00. I received my e-mail with all my setting before my modem showed up. I had to call GTE Supply (Verizon). I received my modem a few days later. It was all down hill from that moment. To make a long story short, I have been out of service, completely, three times for 10 day being the shortest. My mail has been out several more times. I did have a static IP assign to me. 11/02/00 I found out that I did not have a static IP anymore and that I have been on a package they call a Bronze Plus package. The technicians that I called in on 11/2/00 found all this out for me. My static IP was given to someone else and it is now 11/20/00 and I am still without service. This has been a nightmare, but I have not been able to find a company that can supply me the services I need. Verizon Florida and Verizon Internet Solutions are very disorganized and very questionable about the services that they say they are supplying to their customers. I know now that I have been ripped out for several months. If you do have these services, check your connections with the tools that DSL Reports supplies. They will help.

Paying too much?

Why are you paying $39? The current promotion is $29.95 / month (no matter what plan you have... no bundling requirements). If you are indeed paying $39.95 for residential DSL, call up and get the promo rate!

Re: Paying too much?

I'm pretty sure that the $29.95 promo rate is only for new customers but the current rate is $34.95 (reg price). It couldn't hurt to call and check out the $29.95 rate though.

Re: Paying too much?

The 29.95 per month for as long as you have the service is a promo for the month of june only, it pertains to any customer that either is new or currently has the service.
so If you want to get in on this promo, do it before then end of june.
