Antenna's

I have some antenna's coming my way this week from WPS Antenna's.. I'll keep you posted on how they do. I live a half mile outside coverage but seem to get better then you. Do you have the optimizer download? If your having problems with ordering on website or have questions stop by Towson Town Center (3rd Flr) Nordstrom Wing and talk to XOHM there..

P.S. What do you mean by contract price not specified?

Re: Antenna's

Whats the optimizer download?

Our area is hilly and there are some buildings blocking the line to the hub so I may have a more major dropoff than you do.

I am curious how your antenna does; I will probably wait for coverage to improve but if it isn't then I may check into that option.

PS I fixed the thing about the price -- I missed the upper right boxes when I wrote the review.

It will give you where the best place for the modem is in your home for more or less interference..

Upload speed still an issue sometimes

Here is a recent speedtest. Notice the horrible upload times. I have been having intermittent problems with slow uploads which I believe is due to the marginal location I am in. Note I couldn't even upload this 8K jpg image with the modem, I had to switch to my cable modem.

Also I haven't figured out how to turn off NAT. I want the DHCP server to just issue the non-NAT IP address but there is no way to do that, so even when NAT is unchecked it still happens.

Heres the more normal speed

This way it is usable at least.

I am noticing the modem always has the same internet IP - I wonder if they are allocating fixed IPs for each customer. Or maybe I am the only person hitting the local tower so I always get the first IP!
