| wiring the house FYI, I had the same problem. First, a noise old phone that I tossed. Then, I cut the line into the junction box. I spliced the modem line to the line that went into the box and the out line from the modem to the line into the box along with one voice line filter. That caused a major increase from less than 20K to 520K from a 640K service.
I will never get the full 640. I am near the three mile limit from the switch and have exterior line quality issues due to old repairs. |
