| Re: noise interference The problem occurs 99% of the time for a 40 minute duration.
The problem occurs twice in the morning during week days. During weekends and holidays the problem occurs twice a day (sometimes only once a day). The problem occurs regardless of time of day or weather.
The problem is likely human triggered and is not on a timer.
During the problem, line ATN goes up by at least .5 dB. During the problem, DMT bit bins are continuously being shifted. During the problem, SNR is severely degraded. During the problem, a profile using a high capacity on the line will be forced into a lower bit rate. (3008/512 down to 24xx/512)
This RFI source is likely a coffee maker, a washing machine, a dryer, or an excercise machine.
When the problem is occuring, an AM radio picks up a charactoristic repeating noise (three tones actually) across the entire AM spectrum. The AM radio must either be wrapped around my telephone line or it can be anywhere in the 6 home problem source area 900 feet west of my home where the noise has been determined to be originating from during the problem.
