| ycom has hideous support that last thing about mother nature causing problems and it "being your computer locally" is very similar to what they spouted out to me the last time i had to call them.
their customer service is utterly horrible. for over a week, their connection to at&t's backbone was dropping packets, and each and every single time i called, they immediately wanted me to reboot the router (what good is that going to do, when its on their end?).
after days of trying, i finally got through to a manager at their call center, and sent him tracerts from not only myself, but from friends all around the world. each one of their tracerts had problems at the exact same spot.
resolution? there's nothing we can do about that, sir! you might have to call at&t.
yes, i had a manager tell me i should call THEIR backbone provider to clear up THEIR problem.
comcasts going to be on my street soon (a few developments going in) and i'm jumping on that bandwagon asap. and the POS router is going to be returned to ycom in a flaming bag of crap. |
