| Umm... Just curious, how is the 5100a bad? I have always used it, and while it doesn't have PPPoE built in, and stats built in, there's nothing wrong with it at all; it gets great speeds for me. Also, you can probably be re-rated at the new rate - I was able to do that - Call 1-877-722-3755 select order products & services, and ask to speak with the DSL retention dept. | |

No bridge taps or load coils on my line at all and a different problem lies somewhere on SBC's side and not mine cuz I had my inside wiring tested in June by a SBC tech visit. I am going to ask toaster to run a loop back test for any trouble and an accurate line/loop distance check next cuz I think we skipped those things. I may just have a really old line all the way to the CO. The funny thing is that the POTS or voice side of my DSL line is very clear and when I push 1 on the phone to stop the dial tone and then listen I hear no noise at all. -- Can't wait until my FTTC (Fiber To The Colon) gets here because boy am I constipated!
